Estanc’s 2024 Sustainability Report is Ready

Estanc’s fourth Sustainability Report is now available, offering a comprehensive overview of our progress and achievements in the areas of environmental impact, social responsibility, and governance.
In 2024, we were awarded a Silver Medal in the international EcoVadis audit, placing us among the top 15% of companies worldwide.
We made significant environmental contributions – our sixth Mission Day took place, during which we planted a record number of trees. Our solar panels generated 10.3% of the company’s total energy. However, the year also brought new challenges. Estanc’s Scope 1+2 CO₂ emissions reached 123.96 tons, the highest level in the last four years. This was mainly due to increased use of natural gas in post-weld heat treatment. Additionally, water consumption increased by 42.7% compared to 2023, as one project required product testing with clean water.

In the social sphere, we stood out on several fronts: Estanc was awarded the title “Dream Employer 2024,” and our team member Priit Haldma received a special award as a “Rising Star” young leader. Employee satisfaction and engagement improved, and response rates rose, especially in the production department. We established a new technology department, enhanced diversity, and workplace accident risk has decreased more than sixfold over the past six years.
On the governance side, we continued to develop our holacratic model, improved cybersecurity, and conducted supplier audits to strengthen our responsible supply chain.
In summary, while sustainability is a voluntary choice for Estanc, an increasing number of clients value the ethics and sustainability of their partners and base their decisions on these criteria. We are proud to have made significant progress on various sustainability topics at Estanc, becoming a role model for many other companies in our sector in Estonia. At the same time, we recognize that there is still room for growth and new challenges ahead.
Regardless of political changes globally or updates to EU regulations, Estanc remains committed to sustainability. Sustainability is an integral part of our strategy and vision – to contribute to building a sustainable world and improving people’s quality of life.
For us, sustainability is not an obligation, but a conscious choice. It supports strategic goals, builds trust, and prepares us for upcoming European Union requirements.
