Employee and family-friendly Estanc

As a family business, one of Estanc’s goals has always been to be an employer that values the reconciliation of work and family life. For the past 4 years, the goal of the HR department has been to create and develop a work culture that would provide an enriching experience. Working is such a big part of our lives, and the time spent at work should add something to everyone, not the other way around.

In order to work on creating a truly enriching experience, in 2018 Estanc first applied for the “Employee and Family Friendly” label, issued by the Ministry of Social Affairs. In order to apply for the label, we had
to create a strategy with an action plan, for that we were helped by a consultant from the program. At that moment, our current situation was assessed at the bronze level, and in the following two years we had to start implementing the action plan we had created.

The goal was to develop the company’s employee-friendliness to a golden level — so that our people have a good and enriching experience in Estanc. Based on all of this, we have had our team events, our benefits package has been expanded, internal communication channels are available to everyone and much more.

In 2020, the commission evaluated our activities and we had to prove what we have done in terms of employee- and family-friendliness over the course of two years. The result was the “Employee- and family-friendliness” silver label for the years 2020-2022. We also created a new action plan with development activities to become even more employee-friendly.

This year, at the beginning of December, another evaluation took place, and this time feedback was also asked from Estanc’s employees. Such an evaluation form is certainly more comprehensive and gives the committee a real understanding of how employees feel in the company. In total 56 employees gave their feedback!

After getting acquainted with the employees’ feedback and the HR department’s presentation about Estanc’s employee-friendliness, the Ministry of Social Affairs confirmed to us that Estanc is a gold-level employee- and family-friendly company!

We are really proud and happy that we work at Estanc! For the next two years, continued work must be done in order to maintain the gold level and thereby make our people’s lives even more enriching!
